Welcome to Lower Halstow!
Lower Halstow is a delightful village nestled into the river Medway estuary offering both tranquillity and connectivity to its residents in a bustling age.
It is a timeless reminder of Swale’s rural, coastal, and industrial heritage which included ancient pottery-making, fishing, farming, brickmaking and barge building. Dating back to pre-Roman and possibly Iron Age times, the village boasts an ancient church, a historic, award-winning pub, a primary school, a yacht club, a wharf, and even its own nature reserve.
The Parish Council is dedicated to the preservation of Lower Halstow’s character and heritage and the well-being of its residents. We encourage you to engage with us through this website and the monthly parish meetings held in the memorial hall.
Please feel free to contact us with your concerns, recommendations and even your praise.
